Just finished watching season 4 of Prison Break. Pretty cool show, like you dont have to watch the first 3 seasons to know whats going on, all though it would help. It was all pretty captivating and stuff until one episode when 'Scylla', a device of sorts that was meant to contain vital information, turned out to be nothing more than a USB of designs for a Solar cell.

Well, at least it can't get any stupider than Lost who's in season 5 yet no one has gotten off the island yet.

I've been listening to Owl city a lot lately, and looking up their lyrics. Apparently the total randomness of the words helps me expand my vocabulary. For example, "all those oceanic vistas are so defined", "this is a world of dreams and reveries" and "scenic sublime". Such detailed description of the noun preceding it can only be found in their songs, not anywhere else, not even Mr Rajesh's essays.

I have been getting a lot of emails these days, one thirds from The Midway State who apparently seems to be on the verge of bankruptcy. Everyday I get a email informing me of a 50% discount off all their mechanise. They are Midway to getting to The bankrupt State.

I read an interview on the web with Owl City's member Adam, the only member at that. It was more of a faq, and one of it was how did he pick the cities featured in his songs. For example in Fuzzy Blue Lights, there's a phrase "If i could look across the country, from California to New Jersey" and another " If i could open my window, and see from Tampa Bay to Juneau.."
I checked out a world map, while i was revising for geography. Tampa Bay's located southeast in the US, and Juneau's located in Alaska.

Nothing amusing in this post.

The Real Origin of Swine Flu

So I was lying, Swine flu isn't from Somalian Wine.
After doing some research, I found out the real origin of Swine Flu. Despite what you guys think of it coming from Mexico or United States, Swine Flu came from China. It was present in China for a very long time, and there have been historical recordings of people infected with swine flu.
Below is a picture of a person with Swine Flu.

Swine Flu

A comprehensive online guide on what Swine Flu is and how you could protect yourself from it.

What is Swine Flu?

Swine Flu, also known as S Wine flu, is a virus found in Somalia-made wine. Yes, as you might have guessed, this is affected and most probably caused by the recent piracy raids along the coast of Somalia by Somali pirates. Researchers and scientists and fortune tellers suspect that Somali pirates might have raided an African vessel by mistake at night thinking that there was no one there, and only on the boat did they realise that they were surrounded by Africans. HIV/Aids must have been contracted right there and then, and an infected pirate must have brought the virus with him along to a school visit to a wine farm.

Meanwhile, a Lazytown video 'You Are A Pirate'

The Somalia method of winemaking would involving the gathering of grapes first. If grapes are scarce, they wold use GReen APES as a substitute. Tastes the same to them. Next they would step on it, and then spit on it for good fortune. After all the juices have been squeezed out, they would collect random floating coke glass bottles which floated there all the way from China or Sngapore, and fill it up with Juice. This is Somali Wine.

It enhances all types of food. Simply because anything tastes divine after drinking Somalian wine.Anyway, S Wine Flu is present only in Somalia-made wines corked in years 1999-2009.

How do i prevent myself from getting swine flu?

You don't prevent yourself from getting S Wine flu, you prevent yourself from preventing yourself from preventing yourself from getting S Wine flu (which essentially is the same thing).
1.Drink Ribena. It's a wonderful substitute for wine.
2.Destroy all the objects in your houseold capable or storing liquid.
3.Pay Lorenzo $10
4.Play WordChallege instead.
5.Drink water. It's another substitute.
6.Eat some Caesium, so you will never ever consume anything ever again.

Bowling tips

#1 Always use a bowling ball that is spherical.
#2 Check again for tip #1, you might miss it the first time.
#3 Insert your 3rd and 4th finger, then your thumb.
#4 Check if there are any bowlers on your adjacent lanes going to bowl
#5 Remove your bowling ball if there are bowlers adjacent to you.
#6 If there are no bowlers adjacent to you now, repeat steps #1-#3.
#7 When standing on the lane, relax.
#8 When standing on the lane, concentrate on your task.
#9 Before swinging the ball, think first, on how you would swing the ball.
#10 Use some physics equations of the oscillations of a pendulum, and let it confuse you for a brief second.
#11 Snap out if you happen to be daydreaming about physics equations, and focus.
#12 If you need to pee, do so after you bowl.
#13 Give Lorenzo $10.
#14 Before going, turn around and smile at the people waiting for you to bowl.
#15 If by any chance you turned around and lost your focus, go through tips #1-#13.
#16 When you think you can do it, think again.
#17 When you think you can't do it, don't think, and just bowl.

Above are some free tips from Pro Bowler Lorenzo Evangelista. Subscribe for more key bowling tips.

Revived.

Le Riviera. A noob would think that means revive in french but it's actually the name of a stretch of beaches along the mediterranean. Speaking of a noob, anoop is a noob. Who is he? Well he's the only indian on American idol. Not being racist, but I'm convinced that the AI producers probably bribed the judges to give him really good comments every week, to show the 'multi-ethnicity' of American idol.

It's been a long time since i last blogged. Why? I was busy catching up on my revision and homework. Now in year 2, there seems to be a much heavier workload then last year. Being totally random now, I still can't believe that we have to pay for matrix 2. For non TJCians, matrix2 is an online portal where teachers upload homework and assignments and where students can download it. Apparently matrix was such a failure and that's why there's a '2'.

Imagine this:

Morpheus:take this blue pill, and you'll be immersed in the world of matrix. Take this red pill, and you'll continue on your normal life in your so-called world. (Or you can take this malaria pill if you are going to Outward Bound Malaysia Lumut).

Neo: I'll take this blue...

Morpheus: Wait, sorry.
(replaces with blue pill with Blue pill II)
Morpheus: Here you go.

Neo: Woah, what did you just do? Swap the pill?

Morpheus: Apparently the Matrix has some problems where TJC students can't seem to upload their homework. Anyway, i'll take you to Matrix 2 where it seems bug free, but you'll need to install loads of programs and add-ons and where you can only use the fox on fire.

Neo: Whew, thank god. (takes and comsumes blue pill II)

Morpheus: Now pay me $17.50. You'll have to pay in cash since you aren't a Singaporean and you don't have an Edusave account.

o.O

Anyway, my sister recently lost her phone. Last Wednesday i believe. Sad, now she has to use the old Samsung phone that i was stuck with 2 years for after some poor and unfortunate being stole my phone in Chungcheng. Anyway, something i notice about my sister, is that she takes very long to pick her clothes. Like a certain pair of shirt can only go with a certain few pairs of jeans.

Unlike me, I don't see how they need to be so delicately chosen and paired. That's why, when talking about different combinations of clothings, I have so much more. Using factorials and what else,

number of choices of outfits i have=(number of shirts)x(number of pants)

Whereas number of choices of outfits my sister has= ((number of tops)!)/(3!)

Don't ask me why, I'm no Ivan Lim or all the other replacement maths b teachers that keep randomly appearing on Thursdays. Seems like on Thursdays the randomness can be explained by (132 P 131). {excludes ivan lim}.

An Israeli doctor said
'Medicine in my country is so advanced that we can take a kidney out of one man, put it in another, and have him looking for work in 6 weeks.'

A German doctor said
'That is nothing; we can take a lung out of one person, put it in another, and have him looking for work in 4 weeks."

A Russian doctor said....
"In my country, medicine is so advanced that we can take half a heart out of one person, put it in another, and have them both looking for work in 2 weeks."

The Texas doctor, not to be outdone, said
'You guys are way behind. Some time ago, we took a man with no brains out of Texas , put him in the White House for eight years, and now half the WORLD is looking for work.'

I'm not blogging anymore because there's simply too much work.

Too much? I measure it by the duration given to us to complete and the length of the project, and the refreshment rate of projects. Like every time one finishes one comes.

I'm starting to think sailing wastes my weekends.
But what's more stressing than homework?

Angel and mortal. Argh. My mortal is disgruntled and is demanding for more. Cant say that its her fault. Pressure. Pressure. (force/area)

I sail on weekends at SAFYC (changi). SAFYC stands for Singapore Armed Forces Yatch Club. And it's kinda located next to a navy camp. In SAFYC itself, there's this big white shed in some corner somewhere, and i went inside and i found (scroll down)

Some big white machine that can supposedly fly since it has wings and propellers. Never seen anything like that before. Cool. Wonder if it actually works. I might hijack it one day.

Back from my bowling camp. Yesterday we watched 'Twilight'. Much better quality than the one i watched online. I thought the show was rather boring though, the only part i liked was the baseball scene.

Here's a preview, and a spoof below.

Really funny.

Volvo Ocean Race

Someone died; sad.
Greatest race ever.
50-60knots wind. (2knots is something you feel standing next to a fan)
10 metre high waves.

SG51-ly Awesome.

What urges someone to play a video game that they're good at? That is one of life's many profound mysteries. I'm starting to sound like Mohinder Suresh so, next paragraph.

Well, it's the satisfaction of seeing one's in-game character 'pawning' all the other in-game characters. In GunZ, one's in-game character 'pawns' others when his 'number of kills' to 'number of deaths' ratio is as large as possible. In GunZ, there are a few channels, where each channel has a level range. As I leveled up, i noticed that i tend to die more often. Someone like Ryan or KianChang or Edward might tell me,"that's when you need to improve on your skills".

But however, what i did was to create a new account, so I could use my lvl 40+ experience to play with lvl 1-10 beginners, which proves quite stress-eradicating.
As one account is entitled to 4 characters, my characters are:

Fel
FelStalker
FeIStalker
FelStaIker,

In GunZ, A capital i LOOKS exactly like a small caps L.
I created my own clan too, called FelStalker.

Doesn't matter if Felicia is the only one reading my blog now, but TheMidwayState emailed me to announce their new music video for 'Change for you'.

Video Description:
Here we have nathan ferraro or something (i don't really care anymore), looking so stoned. Stoned because he doesn't look anything else, maybe petrified. Expressionless, xcept for his lips moving which gives away the fact that the background music is actually coming from the guy you see covering 65% of the rectangular box belonging to youtube.

then as the song progresses, you notice that the rain has caused severe flooding in a new part of the road which has now been revealed because Nathan randomly chose to walk there. (or so that's what you're supposed to think) Anyway, he starts taking f his 'stuff'. First a tie i think, or somesmall thing. then followed by his watch, waterproof i presume, dropping it in a dark pool of water which only reminds me of the show darkwater. scary. Anyway, you have to give him credit for timing such that when the song ends, he only managed to show his upperbody, which i must say, isn't nice to look at. Should have worked out or something.

Anyway, looking at his stoneface for more than 3 minutes has made me realise that he looks like the combination of the 2 man male characters from my favourite show, the IT crowd.

Back from my one week hol' in Sydney. Thought it was gonna be pretty hot, since it was summer there and such, but it turned out to be pretty cold, and dry. Those who saw me the previous week at mass dance practice would know that i was rather tanned, because of the one whole week of sailing the week before that before. Well, the thing is that Sydney's dry air is causing my skin to peel off. Girls would find it sick, so i'd suggest continuing to the next paragraph.

Next paragraph! Ha.Went many places around Sydney. The thing about sydney is that its pretty similar to singapore in its infrastructures, like the way which direction of the roads are on which sides, to the bus lanes, to the same colour scheme of the road signs, to a place called cockle bay with bars and shops around it that is almost clarke quay's identical twin. Well, the thing about singapore is that its trying to follow Sydney; something that i learnt from A family friend's family. That was just referring to the family of a family friend.

Some singapore leaders decided one day that 'hey! Sydney rocks; their concept of whatever it is rocks, let's follow them." But compared to Sydney's cockle bay, Singapore's Singapore river is more like a degenerated cesspool.

Sydney has a population equal or more than Singapore's. Many people thing that that would be possible because Sydney's like our CBD area. However, that is only Sydney 'city'. Sydney spans quite big actually. It has about 7 beaches, from 1km long to some 20km long. That should give you a perspective on how big it is and how far t stretches along the coast. Australia's population is about 20mill, which makes Sydney like a quarter of it's pop. Pretty interesting.

Surfboards.
When i was primary 5 i went to gold coast. I thought surfing was pretty cool and my parents bought a secondhand longboard for bout 400bucks. Longboard's pretty good for beginner surfers, it's stable, floats well, and well, it's long. However on the airtrip back, Singapore airlines broke it into half. Some chinese lady who couldn't speak english well said they were not to blame as my surfboard was well, long. But anyway i managed to get Singapore airlines to pay for the board. And lets just say that i made a profit.

Image Hosting by Picoodle.com

Well, this time in sydney, i bought a shortboard.A longboard is about 3.5m, a little taller than classroom doors, while a shortboard is as tall as Haiquan. I say that because he is a lil' taller than me. I chose this instead of another longboard because surfing on a longboard was pretty much like standing on the deck of Titanic, while shortboard surfing is what everyone else did, and it had a stability compared to a (one and a half wheeled)-cycle. I chose a shortboard made of Highlycondensed styrofoam or something not-so-spongy and porous; as compared to a one made of some material which has a pretty cool and long name that was like a floating plastic.
Reason that it was well, 50 bucks cheaper, and i saw on a show called 'Bondi Rescue' that some people got 1 cm 'dents' in their skulls from colliding with those boards.
I'll try snapping a picture of my board in time to come..

Bondi Beach.
Probably the best beach in the world. If it isn't, at least its recognised as a world-class beach for surfing.(not for snorkelling though, no fishes there.)
Image Hosting by Picoodle.com

Used this picture i found on yahoo instead of a 3.82mb picture i took myself because it didn't seem as nice.(and it exceeded the upload size limit on picoodle.com)

Bondi Rescue.
Bondi rescue is a really cool TV series in australia that i lovd watching on the plane instead of watching movies.(I took Qantas, and yea, it sucked that we didn't get the A380 from singapore airlines.)
According to the introductry opening of Bondi rescue, on a busy weekend, 40,000 people visit the beach each day, with over 25,000 rescues in a year by Bondi's lifeguards. Highest numbers of rescues in a day was like 253. Bondi beach spans for about 1 kilometre, and it's sorta like a 'cove', because it's like not directly open to the sea. It is, but from an aerial picture below,
Image Hosting by Picoodle.com
You can see what i mean. Below's a quick preview of an episode of Bondi Rescue.

Watch it please, for all that everything woul ever stand for.

Anyway, in one of my earlier paragraphs, i mentioned a family friend's family. Well, there's Eddy(Dad), Laura(Mom), Jolin, and Caleb.

They were singaporeans who migrated to sydney like years ago. Even though the adults still seem to be ever the same, Jolin and Caleb have a bloody nice Australian accent.I've been trying to talk to Jolin and like getting her to say common phrases like 'Hi, my name is Lorenzo', in her accent. (Caleb's studying for some exam).

The thing is that they're coming to singapore like a week from now during christmas.

I'm gonna end this post because i'm watching 'COPS'. Which is funnier than i expected. COPS is a compilation of clips taken by a filmer who goes around with Policemen who arrest people and such. What's funny is the stupid and ludicrous excuses that the people provide. Like in one episode where Police were chasing two african-americans on a car chase because they were supposedly carrying drugs or going to. then like at a junction, the car crashed into a macdonalds and one guy had like his hand stuck in the apple pie dispenser, while the other guy had ran away. Poice found him(with no drugs on), a few blocks away hidin below a car. and he was like 'I ain't got no drugs'
P(olice):"what's ur business here, u live here? why are you under acar"
G(uy):I was running man. my friend was going to pick me up and send me home.
P:why were you running
G: I saw this flying man (??!?!) and i panicKed and i ran man. u gotta believe me.
P:why were you running?

anyway, i guess the police kinda humiliated him in front of the camera because he was asked to get on the floor, lie down, and like crawl facedown to them about 2 metres away, wriggling like a earthworm: butt up, push forward, butt up,...

Adios.

Wednesday, 19/11.

Bussing Disaster pretty sums up wednesday. I had bowling as usual as any other wednesdays. I usually take bus 10 to a bus stop 1 stop away from Tamp SAFRA, and would then cross the bridge and change to a wide assort of about 6-8 busses that would take me to Safra. For some reason at that point of time I felt a real adrenaline rush in my arteries/veins/capillaries and i was set on boarding the bus that i saw was approaching and i sprinted down the overhead bridge. Well, it wasbus 27, which to me sounded like one of the buses that went to Safra. (but it did not) Going to Safra buses included 21,23,67. So somehow 27 seemed like an infusion of 21/23 and 67. Plus, 4/5 of the buses at that stop went to SAFRA. Additionally, the bus 10 that i took, the previous stop was just like 200 metres away, over a highway cross some expresway, so i didn't lose that much if i was wrong.

What i didn't know however, was that Bs 27 took a turn when it reached the overhead crossroad and it entered the expressway, I told the uncle that something was seriously screwed up and i needed to alight, but he told me to alight at the next stop, and i agreed, Not knowing that the next stop was at Changi airport. Bus 27 passed thru all 3 terminals with many several security checks and everytime the securityguards kept thinking my bowling ball bag contained a bomb. I didnt alight that bus though. I realised that it was one of those circle routes, and later i alighted st the exact bus stop i had boarded it 30 minutes earlier.

Wasted lots of time.
Tuesday, 18/11.

I went to make my IC, because there wasn't much time left for me to make it and there was something on the letter saying that I could be brought to court if I don't make my IC. (O.o)
Anyway, i took bus 13 from my house to that tall building thingy. Somewhere on a turning junction, the bus stopped at a redlight, and on the perpendicular sright side of the turn in the opposite direction was another bus 13, and i noticed the driver waving to (I assume, the bus driver of the bus i was in);unless he was waving to the bus, which is stupid. Then, that bus turned and another bus 55 was at that exact point, but i didn't notice any exchange of smiles or waves. Then that 55 bus left and ANOTHER 13 came. this time that 13 couldn't really turn, and that 13 driver guy was like sign-languaging to my bus driver. He was like (translated from handsignals to english): Hey, how'd have you been? Long journey huh? I'm pretty tired, i'm even sweating. No wait, i'm perspiring, because humans perspire and dogs and pigs sweat."
Anyway, somehow drivers driving a bus with a same numberplate seem to form a natural bond, which is kinda stupid.

When i got to the ICA building, it was pretty empty, since it was a tuesday morning and people were probably jacking off or sleeping. i went to the photobooth which i must sayis the most efficient photobooth. you have 3 photobooths, and 1 person each tending to a computer screen with your face on adobephotoshop. after that i was supposed to get a queue ticket from a machine but instead i went to the help kiosk because i needed help i guess. But then my primary 1-4 friend Chuan Yee appeared with his family (his birthday is on 12nov, mine's 13) and his mom told me to go to the machines.

The whole thing went really smoothly, but one thing that i really liked was the fingerprinting thingy. There was a digital figngerprinting machine and a ink one. I thought the idea of someone taking total control of your thumb and moving it here and there was pretty amusing. They must be trained or something.
